We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC systems to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of HVAC systems in large-scale construction projects, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all HVAC systems comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of HVAC system issues to identify and resolve complex problems
- Manage HVAC projects from concept through completion, including scheduling, budget oversight, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Conduct site inspections and system performance tests to verify code compliance and operational efficiency
Technical Skills
- HVAC controls programming (e.g., DDC, BAS, BACnet)
- Duct design using industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
- Load calculations (e.g., Manual J, HAP, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment (chillers, boilers, air handlers, VRF systems)
- Proficiency in energy modeling and simulation tools
