Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Supervisor to join our team in the public administration and defense sector. This role is critical to ensuring a safe and compliant working environment across all operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in safety management, a proactive approach to hazard prevention, and a strong commitment to regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic inspections and audits of work sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk assessments and enforce preventive measures across all operational areas.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to staff at all levels.
• Ensure all safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are properly maintained and used.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, and liaise with relevant authorities as needed.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of safety management systems and frameworks (e.g., ISO 45001, OSHA).
• Proficiency in risk assessment and hazard analysis techniques.
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of fire safety, first aid, and emergency response procedures.
• Familiarity with safety inspection and auditing tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and safety management software.
• Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements in public sector environments.
