Introduction

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical system layouts for construction projects. This role demands exceptional technical knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and strong project management capabilities to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and detailed design of mechanical system layouts, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver designs on time and within scope.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
• Review and approve drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications.
• Collaborate with site teams to resolve technical issues during construction.

Technical Skills

• Project management (e.g., scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation)
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical system design for construction
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design software
• Familiarity with Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
• Understanding of construction codes and standards (e.g., IPC, IMC, ASHRAE)
• Experience with project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) processes
• Technical drawing review and approval
