Introduction
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Shepherd to oversee the daily management of sheep flocks, ensure animal health and welfare, and optimize breeding and water resources in a professional agricultural operation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily herd management activities for sheep flocks.
- Monitor sheep behavior to detect early signs of illness, stress, or injury.
- Manage water resources and secure clean drinking water for all flocks.
- Manage breeding and lambing operations, including care for newborn lambs.
Technical Skills
- Sheep flock management and husbandry techniques.
- Operation of automated milking equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of sheep behavior and welfare indicators.
- Water resource management and supply systems.
