This mid-level role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting project planning through detailed analysis of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure competitive and reliable budgets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on specifications, drawings, and scope documents.
• Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to identify cost factors and potential risks.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data on materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to refine estimates and adjust for changes in design or scope.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market prices, material costs, and labor rates.

Technical Skills

• Cost estimation and budget preparation.
• Quantity takeoff and material quantification.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation of construction drawings.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
