Introduction

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our IT and Digital Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side components of our digital products, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and databases to support front-end features.
• Optimize application performance through code profiling, caching strategies, and database tuning.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Architect and implement microservices-based systems that are resilient and scalable.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of development processes.

Technical Skills

• Cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) – including provisioning, deployment, and management of scalable infrastructure.
• Microservices architecture – designing, developing, and orchestrating distributed systems.
• System design – ability to model high-level architectures, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools.
