Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to join our construction team. In this mid-level role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety across all project sites.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hazard identification and risk assessments at construction sites.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols in accordance with NEBOSH standards and local regulations.
- Develop and deliver safety training sessions for site personnel.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety measures are integrated into all phases of construction.
Technical Skills
- Hazard identification and risk assessment.
- NEBOSH certification (or equivalent) and knowledge of safety management systems.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in safety audit tools and incident reporting software.
- Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and conduct safety inspections.
